| The Norwegian celebrated their National Day May 17 |

In Antalya, the Norwegian National Day May 17 for the first time marked by marching through the city. About 100 Norwegian had found their way to Kemer city center, the march started from the restaurant, Leo, and went through the main street and down the pedestrian street to Kemer City Hall.
On the way down to city hall became the national anthem. " vi elsker" sung. In City Hall deputy mayor welcomed the march.
Flowers were handed to deputy mayor, as a symbol of friendship and peace between them and the inhabitants of Kemerand the participants was given gifts from Kemer Municipality. Otherwise, note that all had Norwegian also had Turkish flags.

| New bus accident May 16 |
|
16 people were injured in a bus accident on the highway May 16. The driver lost control of the bus, which eventually overturned. The road was slippery after a rain squall, this combined with high speed, is probably the cause of the accident.
The injured were employees at Crystal Flora Beach Hotel, and they were sent to different hospitals for treatment.

Kemer is focusing heavily on schools and students, including the distribution of computer to students.
Students who move to Kemer, have not computer from the schools they come from.
Now it has been the distribution of PCs to students in the sixth. classes, who have moved to Kemer.

| Celebrated the victory |
|
In Kemer it was, as all over Turkey, celebrated that Galatasaray won Spor Toto Super League. People gathered at
Ataturk Avenue with flags and fireworks, and drove through the streets and whistled and shouted and screamed.
In Istanbul Fenerbahçe disappointed supporters went crazy, and it was hard clashes with the police

In the period May 11 to 19 there is a market on the back side of the new bus station in Aslanbucak.
Here you can buy clothes in all varieties, bedclothes, shoes, pictures and Krims Krams, handicrafts, books, souvenirs and they sell food and drink. It is a bit of a flea market, where most are new things, but it is also used things there.
The profits will go to schools in Kemer.

| Cherries has arrived |
|
Then they have come. The little taste bombs. The first cherries I've seen this year was on the market last Monday. Then the price was 10 lira.
Thursday was the price 8 lire on the market Kuzdere. The quality is very good.
You can still get strawberries, and the price is 3 lira per. kilo

Rubbish being thrown in the woods which surround Kuzdere, is a major problem.
Not just because it pollutes, but it is thrown flammable material that can ignite in the heat.
The fear is that this can cause a dangerous fire

Bazaar in Kuzdere
Thursday it was the traditional bazaar at the market Kuzdere. It's parents of children in the primary school in Kuzdere who do this. The parents are cooking at home and bring to the bazaar and sell it.
It's were ticket sales and selling things that are homemade. The income goes back to the students in the school. Mayor Gül was of course present, and praised the parents for what they do.

| 11th International Kemer Underwater Days 17-20 mai |
|
International Kemer Underwater Days (IKUD) is a week of activities organized jointly by the Center for Mediterranean Underwater Archeological Research (AASAM) (www.aasam.net) and the Foundation for the Promotion of Kemer (KETAV) (www.ketav.org) , whose goal is to introduce to the world the natural and the archeological beauties of the deep waters of Kemer - Antalya (Turkey) in the Mediterranean. This activity is a member of EUIFA and the partner of UNEP/MAP – Info RAC.
International Kemer Underwater Days contains many of activity and a meeting program on underwater imaging and underwater archaeology. It also contains underwater photography and videography competitions which happen in the crystal waters of Kemer at every year in May.
During the weekend there will be a series of conferences and competitions in several categories.

In Cirali there was fighting as an unlawful intent houses were demolished.
Those who came to demolish the house, denied the owner access, and it ended with that 60 people sat down on the highway and blocked it. They did this in protest. Jandarma were called in to resolve the situation and 25 people were arrested.
Jandarma was also inserted to empty the guest house for tourists and residents, who received a short time to leave the house before it was demolished.
Ministry of Forest and Water in Turkey estimates that it is set up about 100 unlawful buildings in the area, on land belonging to the state.

So it is confirmed. There have been 35% more car accidents in the first quarter of this year,
compared to 2011.
The inhabitants of Kemer complaints elsewhere over parked cars and motorcycles on the sidewalk, the zebra crossing and close up shops.

| Success for concert |
|
On the Republic Square in Kemer it was "Full house" on Sunday when Zakkum'u held a concert in the evening. The concert was the end of the youth festival in Kemer.
The otherwise very busy mayor took his time with his wife, to spend the evening with the youngsters.

Friends of nature in Kemer has been on another trip, as far as I can understand, to
Fethiye and Gedalma. This is a group of Turks and tourists with accommodation in Kemer, or near Kemer. They organize one trip a month, and then we talk about hiking.

| The fight against piracy of clothes and shoes is getting harder |
|
Turkey is now taking steps to halt the widespread sales of pirate clothes and shoes. 300 police officers participated in a campaign in 15 districts and to 150 addresses. Large quantities of clothing and shoes was seized in shops, at wholesalers and factories.
In Kemer, 3 people were arrested after several stores in Ataturk Avenue was visited by police on May 8th. For example, all clothing marked with Mods of Norway are pirated copies.

| New bus accident on the highway |

9 persons were injured when a bus lost control on the highway at Camyuva.
There had been some rain, which made the road was slippery. The injured were sent to hospitals in Kemer, for treatment.
Most new buses today has seat belts. It's not embarrassing to use them.

| Dinosaur park almost ready for opening |
|
May 15 opens the 30.000 m2 large Dinosaur Park in Göynük. It is the largest of its kind in Europe. Here you will find 28 big dinosaurs, a cinema with 3D film,
fossils, water activities and a planetarium. Food and drinks will of course also be purchased.

| Biked from Norway to Kemer. |
|
Wednesday, May 2 was the biking tour Norway-Kemer ending for Jone Hovland. He started from Norway on April 12, and used 22 days on the trip. Hovland has been on holiday in Kemer many times before, but this time he decided to travel to Kemer in a new way, while he was taken off a few pounds.
Hovland was met by Norwegian flags and champagne when he arrived in Kemer.
